Theatresports Course

The next course happens in March 2009. The course takes place over the two weekends of the 7-8th and 14-15th of March from 10am to 4pm each day. The cost is R800. Attendees must attend all four days. To take part, email course@improvision.co.za with your name and cellphone number now.

Do you think you have what it takes to improvise on stage?

One or two courses are run each year. The course is open to anyone over the age of 18, whether you're a professional actor or a keen amateur.

Few of the course participants end up performing on stage and the course must not be thought of as an audition. But it is an exciting, challenging and enjoyable course. We teach the basic concepts of improvision, a variety of theatresports games, how to work as a team, and have a lot of fun doing so.

The intensive course allows candidates to learn, get experience, and decide whether they are up to the challenge. It also allows the teachers to evaluate the participants, to decide who will be invited to join the Improvision team.
